Abhay: - Kya Sir ji, aapne humko bulaa liya, ish show pe, jiska naam hai “Wine with Arindam”, ab yeh toh batao, wine kab pilayogey…
Arindam: - Thoraa, wait kijiye, aapka baraa bhaiya… jab ayega, tab humlog wine peena suru karega. Woh dekhiye aa gaya Sunny Deol.
Sunny: - kya haal hai… tum log mera wait kar rahe tey kya, really sorry, thoraa late ho gaya raastey pe…woh saala Chaddha type ka ek lawyer ko threat de raha tha…naah…
Abhay: - Uff, bhaiya, tum khali peeli action kyon kartey ho… aur woh bhi…apna film hit karwaaney ke liye…”Border” pe tumney rocket launcher utha liya… “Gadar” pe tumney tubewell utha liya, Hero fim ka toh naam hee mat lenaa, hawa pe bhi urney laagey aajkaal, aur woh ek kya film tha, jisme tum lyangra soldier tha, usmey toh tumne action kiya bhaiya… ek ek punch se, poora floor break kar diya tumney…
Sunny: - So, you are jealous on me, right?
Arindam: - No, no, Sunny ji, you are interpreting it wrong. Abhay is trying to say that, what is the need to show, so much actions in a film, where there is no proper story or any good plots or scripts. In many cases also, we have seen, there was no need at all, to put that kind of action scenes. But, because of those foolish action scenes performed by you, the film just becomes a flop show, instead of a box office hit.
Abhay:- Yeh chokhra, bilkul saahi bol raha hai, bhaiya ji…In “Damini”,”Darr”, “Narasimha”, “Arjun Pandit”, “Border” and “Gadar”, you were just terrific, but in other films… you were just shouting at the top of your voice and fighting with villains, but your acting was not there. Aaj bhi, North India ya Punjab pe tumhara fans bahut hai, par usko ish baat ki dukh hotaa hai ki... woh log aaj ek fight-master ka film dekhta hai... ek actor ka nahi…
Sunny: - You are giving lectures. Have you done any serious action movie?
Abhay: - Yeh toh invalid question ho gaya Sir ji. Mere paas naah toh itna baraa biceps, triceps hai, aur naa hi itna accha physique. Isiliye main sirf off-beat type ka film karta hoon. Mere films pe, ek strong social message rahata hai… jyadataar drama rahata hai…aur bara hi entertaining style se story gets represented. Ab mera jitna film hai, sab ko hi dekhlo, “Manorama Under 6 feet”, “Ek Chalis ka local” “Oye Lucky” and the recent one ”Dev D”.
Arindam: - Haan haan, Abhay ji, aap toh “Modern Devdas” ban gaye hai…but, one thing I don’t understand, how you got motivation to come into the films?
Sunny: - Akhir beta kiska hai? Acting is there in our blood. We are proud to be the son of a great legend “Dharmendra Deol”. Main, Bobby aur Abhay, aaj jo bhi hoon, unkey asshirbaad humrey sar ke upar hai, isiliye humlog itna tarakki kar rahe hai… Bobby aaj aaya nahi... but he is also a great actor. “Barsaat”, “Gupt”, “Bicchoo”, “Soldier” aur “Humraaz” pe toh woh kamaal ka acting karta hai…Aur “Apne” film pe toh, main , papa aur Bobby bhi tha…
Arindam: - Abhayji, do you think, that today, in the Bollywood Industry, viewers like to see the low-budget, off-beat style and social films, more than the hi-fi action, thrilled and romantic commercial films.
Abhay:- Of course, why not, when I will make a film, based on the real-life of a common man, slum dwellers, poor countrymen, where they have faced so much dilemma, in this society, the movie has to be a Super hit. In that case, as a producer, director or an actor, you are not just performing in a film, but you are also contributing for the society. Through these kinds of films, you are providing the society, a set of solutions to combat all those social issues.
Arindam: - This episode will surely motivate our budding viewers, specially the theater actors, who want to be good actors in the low-budget, social related Art films. Viewers, here we end our show. See you again, Bye.
