Ramesh: - No, recently, I have heard that a very strong MP of BJP party has been installed in the northern part of West Bengal for the Lok Sabha Election of 2009.
Arindam: - Yes, you are right. The name of that person is Yashwant Singh.
Ramesh: - Oh! My goodness, which means your West Bengal, will be divided in two states. The northern part will be known as Gorkhaland.
Arindam: - Why are you so surprised? In your state also, there will be an outcome of another state Telangana, and maybe that is why the famous Telugu actor Chiranjeevi formed his own party “Prajarajyam”, and is gaining more popularity day-by-day.
Ramesh: - but, what is the issue behind the formation of Gorkhaland?
Arindam: - It is the same issue, due to which Telangana will be formed. There has been no development at all. The conditions of poor people in our Darjeeling hilly areas and the tribal people of the Telangana region have worsened day-by-day, due to the callous attitude of the respective state governments. Maybe, after formation of these two states, there will be some development.
Ramesh: - Ya, Telangana issue is a very old issue. But, in Darjeeling, I have heard that once Subhash Ghisingh was in power. Now, Mr. Gurung is in full power. What is the matter?
Arindam: - CPI (M) played such a trick that, Ghisingh was unable to do much development for those hilly areas. That is the region, why Gurung came into power.
Ramesh: - but, do you think that the formation of these states will be really fruitful?
Arindam: - May be or may not be, but there is a threat. If there is a Gorkhaland formation, then China can utilize that state, by doing infiltration, as they are already doing it in north-eastern zone. In case of Telangana formation, the major part of Hindu Telugu people will try to move to Telangana state, which will automatically create a paradise for the Bangladeshi and Pakistani Mohammedan communities to dominate over the others and cause terrorism in Hyderabad and rest of the divided Andhra Pradesh.
Ramesh: - People unnecessarily demand for a state, and politicians just add fuel to that issue, to come into power as ministers. Don’t you think BJP is trying to utilize the situation? Maybe, they have succeeded in Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, and that is why, they are also eyeing to come in power by supporting the Telangana and Gorkhaland state formation.
Arindam: - The problem is, the more you keep on supporting the formations of new small states, one day will come, when each and every small tribes and communities will demand for their own states.
Ramesh: - Ha ha ha, well said, may be after 10 years, we will see that around 85% of the districts have become independent states. He he he ….
