INDIAN IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (IIN)

Arindam: - We have received many emails and letters from you to take the interview of Mr. Cheetah, who has innovated the concept of “INDIAN IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (IIN)” Card. So, viewers, in this episode of ‘WINE WITH ARINDAM’ in your favorite Royal Bengal Tiger (RBT) TV Channel, we have invited Mr. Cheetah. Welcome to our show, Mr. Cheetah. Our viewers want to know something about the Indian Identification Number Card.

Mr. Cheetah: - It is the ID card to represent an Indian. It provides the identity of an Indian and each number will be a unique one. For example, say, if the name of a person is Arindam Sain and has taken birth on 27/12/1982 in West Bengal on 1600 hours and his IIN card has been issued on 7th April 2010 at 1800 hours, then this IIN card number will be AS27121982WB07042010-16001800- #*****. Now, these 5 stars will be the machine generated number following the # symbol. Following this combination, the unique key for the all the Indians will be generated and entered into our database.

Arindam: - But, what information does it contain? I mean to say that when a person swipes this card in any of the office entrance door, what information will get stored to the security database of that office.

Mr. Cheetah:- This IIN is linked with your Passport No., PAN card No., Voter ID card No., Driving License No., Ration Card No., Employee ID number of your current Company, ATM card number of your savings account in SBI or non-SBI Bank, Name, Address, Blood Group, Contact Number, Personal Email Id and other related information.

Arindam: - How will you collect this information? The population of India is so large in number.

Mr. Cheetah: - at present, we are planning to implement this IIN Card in the four metropolitan cities of India. That is in Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai. Then, we will start implementing in other cities. The IIN Card will look like any other ATM Card only. But, here the difference is that your photo will be there on the front side, along with your name, IIN No., PAN Card No., contact no., and email id. There will be a magnetic tape on the bottom side of the card. At the back-side of the card, your Blood Group will be printed along with some rules and regulations. The color of the IIN card will be in Purple Color, where the Indian flag will be printed with the IIN logo on the upper-left side of the IIN Card.

Arindam: - So, you mean to say, that only by providing the IIN number to anyone, my identity will get revealed to everyone.

Mr. Cheetah: - Of course, yes. Suppose, you had an accident and you are in a critical condition in an unknown place. The local people of that area don’t even know you. They just need to check your wallet, whether your IIN card is inside it or not. In every IIN card, a toll-free number as well as an email id of IIN Card Inquiry or Help-Line Service is given. They need to just call at that number. The personnel of IIN Card Inquiry help-desk will provide all the details of that person. It is very easy to check your identity in the website www.iin.com. There is a textbox at the main page. Just enter your IIN number and press on search button. All the personal details will get displayed in that website. If you find any of your personal details have been published wrongly in the website or you want to change or edit any of your information, just make a call at the toll free number provided in your IIN card. The Help-Desk personnel will make the changes. We have divided each Metro city into 10 zones. In each zone, there will be one IIN zonal office. For example, in Kolkata, there will be 10 IIN zonal offices and they are Rajarhat, Thakurpukur, Behala, Ballygunge, Tollygunge, Shyambazar, Esplanade, Dalhousie, Barackpore, Khidderpore & Alipore. People residing within 10 Km of this area, needs to submit their information in any of the offices. For example, a person living in Pailan will submit all his personal information in Thakurpukur IIN zonal office. A person living in Dumdum needs to submit his personal information at Barackpore office.

Arindam: - My goodness. So, lots of data warehousing, data migration and data mining needs to be done to successfully implement this IIN Card. Thanks for coming to our show, Mr. Cheetah. Viewers, see you again later; till then, good bye.
